A Letter To My Sister On Her Wedding Day...

Sister ... A best friend for life. Player of dress up. Teller of stories. Keeper of secrets.

My Sweet Big Sister,

Oh, how many stories we could tell and how many secrets we have shared. It's ENDLESS. The memories, the laughs, the tears, the highs, the lows ... we lived them all. We are about to experience yet another beautiful memory today as you say your vows and marry the man you were always supposed to find. First, I've got to say a few things...

I would need a thousand blog posts to tell you just how much you mean to me and just how PROUD I am of you. I will start by saying, I have been blessed in so many ways by having you has my sister. You have always been a person that I look up to, respect, and admire. You are everything "good." What I mean by that is ... you're the kind of good that's not just surface deep, but you're good to the core; the purest of hearts. You always see the best in people and treat them with a kindness that is rare to find and anyone that is lucky enough to be in your life is BETTER because of it. I am so proud of you for your strength and resilience. It hasn't always been easy. You fought through difficult circumstances, and dealt with hardships, but you have overcome! All of those experiences have brought you here...to this special day. Through the ups and downs, God was faithful and we saw this first hand when he placed someone in your life that adores you. It is an answer to our prayers that you how found a man that cherishes you and sees you for who you are; how we all see you. Someone that makes you feel safe and accepts every part of you.

Remember, I will always be here ... to reminisce about "the good ole days," recite the hilarious stories about Dad that NEVER get old, to watch reruns of "I Love Lucy" or have "Anne of Green Gables" marathons (Mom might want in on that one too), to make a late night run to McDicks for some hotcakes or hit up Giffy's for a hot fudge sundae. Most importantly, anytime you need to be reminded of how AMAZING you are - I'll be here. I love you beyond words and am the luckiest girl in the world to have you as my sister. Happy wedding day, Linny! The best is yet to come...

All my love,

Ashley
