I'm trying to be more conscious and mindful of the food and drink that I put into my body on a daily basis. Some days, I'm just trying to remember to put food into my body at all! (#momlife) I was reading the latest People Mag because my fave girl Jennifer Aniston is gracing the cover, and she talks a whole lot about lemon water in the article. I've been hearing so many people talk about the benefits of hot water with lemon, so I decided to do some research. Anytime I catch wind of some sort of "fad" that has to do with my diet, I ALWAYS do research to make sure it's something that would work for me (a.k.a. is it worth buying a dozen lemons next time I visit the grocery store).
In this case, I'm happy to say I'm a new believer! I tried this for a week to see how I would feel, and I found that not only do I feel better after drinking it, but it starts my day off the right way! I feel motivated to drink more water throughout the day and to just be healthier overall. Instead of brewing a coffee first thing (that comes second...can't give that up just yet), I boil some hot water and cut up fresh lemon...because if Jen Aniston is doing it, sign me up! (I'm such a follower)
