Our (almost) 11 month old has perfected the art of "napping" and this mama couldn't be happier! The first six months of Lo's life, she napped by sleeping on someone, mostly me and usually in the Ergo. It was beautiful while it lasted ... she took two, 2 hour naps during the day - and usually the 3rd in her crib for about 30 minutes or so. Although I loved the snuggles, and knew I would miss them ... my back was starting to hate me and I needed to do something about it. We decided to "nap train" Lo in her crib and were prepared for a few hellish weeks. To our surprise, it only took three days for her to acclimate and she's been taking naps in her cribs ever since! At first, the length of her naps would vary, but since she hit 9(ish) months, she's been giving us morning naps from 9-10:30am and afternoon naps 2-3:30pm. It's so nice to have a little bit of time to catch up on housework, food prep, blog ;), or just relax if needed! The best part of my day is when she wakes up and I get to see her face, because she is SO happy! Biggest and best smile ever! What do your littles do at nap time? Are they crib nappers, carrier nappers or both?
