Favorite Food: London LOVES pasta, broccoli, and is still obsessing over couscous. She also continues to be a lover of fruit. Currently (I'm sure this will change tomorrow) she is into raspberries, blueberries, cantaloupe and pears. Still figuring out ways to work some greens into her diet ... fellow mama's, if you have ideas - send them my way!
Favorite Thing To Do: Dance! She has a little hand-held musical toy (which she's had for months now) that she just became interested in. She loves to press the buttons to change the songs and shuffle her feet super fast! SO CUTE! Her (actual) favorite thing to do is to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Oops. Not sure how that happened when literally, it's like a 10-minute sort-of thing during the day if I need to get something done ... but she has developed an obsession with Mickey and I'm not gonna lie, I'm ok with it ... it's pretty freaking adorable.
Most Aww-Worthy Moment: When we put Lo to bed, we say "I love you" and she says "luh youuu!" back (swoon!) She also says, "Bless you!" when someone sneezes, including herself ;) I also love that she fakes injuries. Sounds weird, but it's SO cute when she says "ow!" and points to her "boo boo" wanting me to kiss it...which I will, 100 percent of the time! I'm not sure if this is making her a big faker for the future, but right now I just go with it because I can't handle the cuteness.
Most Exciting Thing She Did: She is now saying over 60 words (major mom brag, so feel free to insert eye roll here). I simply can't explain how proud I am when she hears a car drive by our house and says "car!" or points to all of the fruit on my plate, naming each thing "strawberry, raspberry, pear, apple."
Fun Things We Did This Month: London and I started a music class called Music Together this month. London was a little timid at first, but by the end of class she was dancing in the middle of the circle! (Boston Moms: Check out more mommy + me classes here). The Franklin Park Zoo just opened up a new Children's Zoo so my sister and I took Lo there this month as well. We literally had the BEST time watching how excited she was to see every animal. She was especially taken by the gorillas, tigers, the cranes, and the giraffes! I'll be doing a special post with lots of photos from our trip to the zoo, so be on the lookout!
Biggest Thing I've Learned: Being a mom = basically being a weatherman...predicting and forecasting storms before they arrive so you can prepare / take shelter (LOL!) Am I right, though?! It's funny how I'm watching my sweet little girl get all of these opinions and goodness, she does NOT like to be told "no!" I'm sure that's true for every toddler, right? I'm definitely learning to PICK MY BATTLES and I'm sure there will be more "learning" on this topic to come!
